The First Steps
Vessels are damaged for many reasons including wind damage, improper docking or securing lines, collision, lighting strikes, damage loading on lift or trailer, vessel flooding, etc. When these events occur, we find that dealers or other repair personnel may not be equipped with tools or knowledge to properly evaluate this loss or understand the liability of involvement in high value repairs. Our Process
After a vessel has had a loss and has qualifying loss either you can choose to file an insurance claim or use our payment system. If you choose to use your insurance we handle at no cost out of pocket to vessel all management of the process with your insurance. Documentation
We start with one of the thought inspections for damage provided in the industry. Bonding system inspection load test. This test helps determine lighting damage severity. This system is overlooked by most surveyors as not an industry standard test. We find even with secondary lighting strikes this area is superheated and cause wire damage and fiberglass weaking from repair temper change
Inspection of core materials. We found that dense materials found in transoms and other structural locations of your vessel will show no visible damage but due to the carbon make up lighting is attractive to it and using this material to ground is self-time after time we see the debone of bedding material cause delamination of this area. This damage go undiagnosed and cause total loss situations
Electrical systems. Do you know most electrical items deem lighting strikes acts of god and no longer provide support or warranty to engines, nav equipment, ac/gen set, and etc. We fight to provide replacement of those systems using our process to complete document all damages.
